ICCHP 2008 - VERBAL ROUTE DESCRIPTION


TRAM TO CONFERENCE OFFICE
Get off the tram at the tram station "Universität" (university) and go straight forward in the direction of the tram's exit. Be aware of the benches. Pass the takeaway stand on its left-hand side and cross the street using the traffic light (push the button on the acoustic traffic light’s bottom to make it vibrate as soon as it turns green). Then turn right and continue straight ahead. Cross the first gateway. Orientate yourself at the hedge on your left side. As soon as the hedge ends, go straight on and cross the second gateway (entrance to a parking lot!).
Continue on and be aware of the gates (pass them on the left). Orientate yourself at the left kerb. Pass the next two gateways (about 200 meters) until you arrive at a square with the library in front, where the kerb veers left. Keep following the kerb, pass the next gateway and turn right to come to the Conference Building's entrance. Usually, you can hear people and sliding doors there.

Enter the Conference Building (Keplergebäude) by going through a glass sliding door beside a branch of the "Sparkasse" bank. 
You will find the Conference Office (Registration) by carrying on straight forward through a second glass sliding door. Orientate yourself at the left wall. When you reach the end of the wall, go round the corner and directly through the glass door on your left-hand side (should be open).


CONFERENCE BUILDING TO HOTEL SOMMERHAUS
Return to the tram station. After crossing the street by the traffic light, pass the tram station (tram on your right) and continue straight on. The following is an about 400 meters straight on walk. Pass a building on your right, follow the fence (wire grid) on your right, cross the first gateway. Follow the fence, the hedge and the lawn until your sidewalk and the street turn right. Continue on, following the sidewalk’s direction. 
Warning: Beware of the bollards (small posts or pillars in the ground) a little after the sidewalk’s turn in order not to hurt yourself!
Soon you will detect a hedge on your left. As soon as the hedge ends turn left and go straight on. Follow the footpath's kerb which curves right. Beware of obstacles. A few steps further you will find the hotel's entrance on your left.


HOTEL SOMMERHAUS TO CONFERENCE BUILDING
Same rout back. However, after exiting the Hotel Sommerhaus and following the sidewalk, which will soon turn to the left, orientate yourself on the wall to your right. Pass the first immediate gateway after the end of the wall and the small hedge and take the gateway to the right directly after passing the hedge.
