Skills vs. Abilities

The Special Thematic Session on “Skills vs. Abilities” will focus on novel

  • concepts
  • metaphors
  • paradigms
  • ideas
  • approaches
  • innovations

which can support rehabilitation and all aspects of inclusion of people with special needs, teaching and training for skills and recovering the abilities (perceptual, motor and cognitive).
The STS intends to show new, so far unexplored possibilities for new assistive tools, systems and services which may have the potential to provide new applications in the future. Therefore the STS calls for contributions in

  • evaluation of existing and emerging technologies for their potential in rehabilitation and eInclusion
  • assessment of pschophysics of skills (perception, motion and cognition) and
  • R&D in new applications for people with disabilities

This STS invites to new and innovative thinking to explore so far unexplored paths to find innovative assistive tools, systems and services for people with disabilities.

Contributions to the STS have to be done via the standard submission scheme of ICCHP. Contributions are evaluated and selected by the Programme Commitee of ICCHP. When submitting your contribution please make sure to use the name of the STS as the category.
If you should wish that the STS chairs pre-evaluates your contribution please send them in time to the email indicated above.
