ICT and AT Supporting People with Autisme

back to the List of STS

ICT and AT development has been driven by computer specialists over the last decades focusing on more general needs of users with disabilities. This has led to a number of new tools and approaches which often do not meet with the very specific practice of inclusion of people with autism.

New internet and (social) Web technologies allow a better and easier, even user (teachers, psychologists, experts) driven adaptation and development of tools and assistive functionalities.

This STS invites an interdisciplinary panel users, educators, Researchers and developers to present new ideas, concepts, approaches and tools. It intends to bring together a group of interested parties aiming at an interdisciplinary approach which is critical for the support of people with autism.
