W3C WAI Update and Q&A on Web Accessibility

Description:
In this interactive session we will provide an update on recent and upcoming work at the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), including the WAI-ACT Project and:

  • Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM)
  • Research and Development Symposia
  • Mobile accessibility developments
  • Work on Independent User Interface (Indie UI) specifications to develop a way for user actions to be communicated to web applications, which will make it easier for web applications to work with a wide range of devices, including assistive technologies (AT)
  • Updated education, outreach, and training material

We will answer your questions, and discuss new opportunities for you to be involved in WAI, such as the WAI-Engage W3C Community Group.
